Advocate For Small Food Entities
Every industry has a trade group that represents it at a national level. While there are a number of organizations that represent the industrial food system, and many that advocate for parts of the foodways system and small businesses, there is no collective advocacy for small food entities (growers, processors, makers, retailers) specifically.
We believe this is an important first step toward local food unity. Provide small food makers with a voice across the many influences on their viability. We’ll do this by:
Educating on food trends and human behavior
Offering guidance on best food practices
Training and support on efficiently running a business
Advocating for small food entities at a national level
Summarizing and reporting on food policies.
